According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, Chef Greg Lutes — the restaurateur behind 3rd Cousin — plans to debut a new concept in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood, Precita Social.
Coming to 300 Precita Avenue, the eatery will land near Charlie’s Cafe, Harvest Hills Market, and Los Yaquis.
What Now San Francisco reached out to Lutes to inquire about his plans for the spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Lutes’ existing restaurant, Third Cousin, the eatery’s website offers a brief introduction to the concept: “With a globally inspired and elegant take on California cuisine, 3rd Cousin has been bringing neighbors together since 2015. The community instantly embraced Lutes and his unique concept: taking cosmopolitan dishes and sprinkling a bit of small-town love into each one. Plus, Lutes and his team are known for fusing local, organic, and seasonal favorites with unexpected, innovative ingredients so you’ll never have the same dinner experience twice.”
The statement continues, “There is one signature dish that has people coming back again and again: his Uni Creme Brulee. A spin on the classic dessert, this appetizer places yuzu tobiko, reserve caviar, and trout roe on a crostini for a bite of pure joy.”
What locals can expect to find on the menu at Precita Social hasn’t yet been announced.
According to the concept’s website, Precita Social is slated to open in late summer. Stay tuned for updates.
