Enzo Rosano, the restaurateur behind the Locanda restaurant chain, is planning to debut a new eatery in Brentwood.
Coming to 301 Oak Street, Locanda Capri is taking over the home of longtime osteria Sweeny’s Bar & Grill, near Sip and Scoop California, MJ’s Downtown Cafe, and La Costa Taqueria
“I spent some time in Brentwood and fell in love with the town — as soon as the opportunity came up we took it,” Owner Enzo Rosano tells What Now San Francisco.
Concerning the menu, Rosano shares, “Locanda Capri will offer signature dishes like eggplant parmigiana and lasagna, but each of our restaurants has its own identity. We work with really talented chefs that like to bring their own flavor.”
In line with existing locations in Campbell, Danville, LaFayette, Livermore, and Pleasanton, Locanda Capri will be open for lunch and dinner and brunch will be offered on weekend mornings.
As far as atmosphere is concerned, upon entry, Brentwood locals can expect to find walls decorated with tiles from the Amalfi coast, chandeliers from Murano — an Italian island known for glass-making — and a 20-seat bar. The space also boasts a patio that offers about 100 seats, set in what Rosano is converting into a Mediterranean-style garden, complete with lemon trees.
“I want everyone to feel at home, comfortable — they can come for a glass of wine and an appetizer or come for dinner, all are welcome,” says Rosano.
Locanda Capri is slated to open in early November.
