According to a recently submitted permit application, the restaurateur behind Roosters Peruvian Rotisserie in San Francisco and Mona’s Burgers plans to debut a new concept in Martinez, Yowza Burgers.

“We like the city of Martinez, my wife and I have really good friends there and we regularly go to the town… we thought it could use a new burger joint,” Yowza’s co-owner, Franz Aragon tells What Now San Francisco.

Coming to 915 Main Street, Yowza Burgers will land near establishments such as The Lab Wine Bar & Deli, William Welch Wines, and Sal’s Family Kitchen.

Aragon shares, “Yowza is a new restaurant. It’s going to be a very small space but there will be table service, counter service, and takeout.” The menu will focus on gourmet hamburgers, but sandwiches and salads will also be offered, alongside a selection of beer and wine.

“It will be a smaller menu but a little better than what I have at Mona’s… I will have new burger combinations, but I will keep a sense of Mona’s Burgers as far as keeping the quality of the meat and ingredients,” he continues.

Yowza Burgers is slated to open by the first week of March 2025.
