According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, Bay Area restaurateur Fatih Ulas — the owner of Sultan’s Kebab in Pleasanton — is planning to debut a new concept in the city.

Coming to 377 St. Mary Street, the eatery — listed as Duchess — will land near establishments such as Beer Baron Whiskey Bar & Kitchen, Oasis Restaurant & Wine Lounge, and Oyo.

What Now San Francisco reached out to Ulas to inquire about the upcoming restaurant, but he could not provide additional information.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Sultan’s Kebab, the concept introduces itself as a “cozy Mediterranean spot serving kebabs, falafel & a vegetarian menu, with takeout available.”

“Order with us and enjoy the best shawarma and falafel in East Bay. Our menu will satisfy your taste for Mediterranean cuisine, and our wraps and salads make it more convenient than ever to enjoy our specialties! Our Mediterranean restaurant is known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high-quality fresh ingredients,” the statement continues.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
