According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Kao Saelee and Chef Intu-On Kornnawong of Jo’s Modern Thai are debuting an American breakfast diner in Oakland, The Peach.

Coming to 3721 MacArthur Boulevard, the eatery will land near establishments such as Café of the Bay, Domino’s Pizza, and Phnom Penh.

“The Peach is inspired by owner Kao Saelee and chef-partner Intu-On Kornnawong’s love of American diners and the feeling of gathering over breakfast,” the report shares.

The piece continues, “Eggs and a biscuit will be accompanied by a house-made chicken patty with the flavors of a Thai sausage. The Peach’s answer to shrimp and grits? Congee with shrimp, a soft-boiled egg, and house-made chile crisp. Thai doughnuts will be fried to order and served with sweetened condensed milk and jam. A catfish filet sandwich will pay homage to both the McDonald’s creation and a Jo’s menu staple: crunchy catfish salad with mango, herbs, fried shallot, and a limey fish sauce dressing.”

Additionally, the team is gearing up to debut a new cocktail bar, Bar Susu, that will offer Thai-inspired cocktails and food options including laab-spiced tater tots, Thai jerky, and Chex mix.

The Peach is slated to open this fall. Stay tuned for updates.
