Rex’s Pizza is soon to be the talk of Sonoma County, moving into a vacated restaurant space at 9580 Sonoma Hwy in Kenwood. This comes to light following a building permit filing on behalf of Rex Restaurant Group, LLC, whose new restaurant will take over a corner lot that was previously home to Sunce Winery Tasting Room.

Owner Addison Rex, who currently owns Jurassic Wines and is CEO of The Wine Spies, tells What Now San Francisco his new restaurant will feature a menu focusing on Sicilian-style pizza. Naturally, Rex’s Pizza will also feature a complete wine list comprised of both local and imported selections, which is sure to make this restaurant a new favorite hangout for Sonoma locals and visitors alike.

Opening and building details about the new pizza restaurant are relatively scant for the time being. However, Rex wants What Now SF’s readers to get excited for “pizza by the slice and wine by the glass. Rex’s Pizza is bringing affordable and delicious pizza to Sonoma County.” Based on the timing of the permit filing, we can expect Rex’s Pizza to open its doors sometime in 2022.
