According to SF Eater, Richmond-based business Cinderella Bakery — a “time-tested Russian bakery turning out traditional pastries, meat pies, entrees & treats since 1953,” per its Google Maps profile — is opening a new shop in the Mission District.

Coming to 3249 24th Street — taking over a space formerly home to another historic Bay Area bakery, La Victoria Panadería — the eatery will land near establishments such as the Italian restaurant Itia, Taquería El Farolito, and The Napper Tandy Grill.

What Now San Francisco spoke briefly with the concept’s owner, Mike Fishman, who operates the business alongside his wife Marika, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, Eater reports that “the menu at the new Cinderella will be the same on 24th Street as it has been on Balboa Street.” This means locals can expect to find offerings such as blinchiki (Russian-style crepes), both sweet and savory Russian boiled dumplings, and Siberian-style meat pies.

Additionally, the Journal shares that “the space will also host local art shows and exhibits.”

Cinderella Bakery on 24th Street is slated to open by the end of the year. Stay tuned for updates.
