According to a recently submitted permit application, Rooted Coffee Co. plans to debut a new outpost in Walnut Creek — marking its third location in the Bay Area.

Coming to 2800 Larkey Lane — an address formerly home to Larkey Market and Deli — the coffee shop will land near Larkey Park and establishments such as the Lindsay Wildlife Experience and Larkey Court Housing Complex.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the family business, Rooted Coffee Co. offers a brief introduction on its website: “Our dream first started back in 2013 when we started selling coffee at local farmers markets.”

“Our top priority is making sure you leave feeling seen and valued. We also pride ourselves in offering an exceptional product without sacrificing our values, which is why our cafe is fully plant-based. Our knowledge, taste, and expertise in making coffee is apparent at first sip – with many of our signature drinks made from organic spices instead of syrup.”

On the menu, locals can expect to find parfaits, baked goods, salads, and waffles, to name just a few options.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Rooted Coffee Co. on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
