According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, Round Table Pizza is expanding its Bay Area footprint — gearing up to debut a new outpost in Santa Clara.

Coming to 3253 Stevens Creek Boulevard, the eatery will land near establishments such as Eataly, Must be Thai, and Yeganeh Bakery and Kafe Unik.

Franchisee Nicholas Bongiorno — who will operate the outpost alongside his wide Afsaneh Khochkbariie — tells What Now San Francisco that the location will offer extended late-night hours and a pickup window for takeout.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Round Table Pizza, the now national pizza chain offers a glimpse into its origins on its website: “In 1959, Bill Larson opened the first Round Table Pizza in Menlo Park, California. He envisioned a gathering place where you could ‘share a little pizza with someone you love.’ Bill believed in using gold-standard ingredients and time-honored recipes to boldly bake hand-crafted pizza worth sharing.”

Today, with more than 400 locations across the country, Round Table is known for “time-honored recipes, hand-rolled dough, homemade tomato sauce, and toppings piled to the edge.”

Round Table Pizza on Stevens Creek Boulevard is slated to open early next year. Stay tuned for updates.
