A recent zoning application filed with the city of Berkeley indicates that sandwich chain Sourdough & Co. has plans to establish a new location at 2509 Haste St. The restaurant will move into a 1,283 square-foot vacancy close to Telegraph Avenue. Owners Manni Singh and Karen Kaur confirm that Sourdough & Co. will be open in time for the holidays.

Sourdough & Co. specializes in sourdough bread, which they dub as a “bread with benefits” for its high levels of folates and antioxidants, low amounts of gluten, and of course, its delicious taste. At this restaurant, customers can order sandwiches, soups, and salads served with quality sourdough.

Sourdough & Co. serves sandwiches with top quality turkey, roast beef, pastrami, or chicken, as well as fresh, premium soups of the day alongside daily New England Clam Chowder. Check out www.sourdoughandco.com for more details.

Correction: An earlier version of this article stated that the owners could not be reached for comment. They’ve since been in touch to confirm when they will open.
