Scott’s Chowder House has opened its fourth location affording diners a new opportunity to enjoy great seafood, attractively priced, in a casual, engaging setting that was previously home to Black Bark BBQ on Fillmore Street in San Francisco. Culinary entrepreneurs Steve Mayer, Chef Sammy Reyes, Chef Laurent Manrique, Olivier Daridon and Chef Patrick Albert have teamed up with Chef Michael Mann who will head up the kitchen and who is most recently known for his work at Prospect Restaurant.
Menu highlights include a variety of chowders such as Boston, Manhattan, lobster bisque and vegan, plus lobster roll, crab roll, fish and chips, local oysters (fresh and BBQ style), mussels and grilled fish. Among the beverage options are handcrafted beers and select wines. Currently open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m., lunch service will subsequently be added.
An offshoot of Scott’s Seafood originally established in San Francisco in 1976, Scott’s Chowder House opened its first location in San Jose in 2020 and has become known for fresh seafood, a focus on sustainable and healthy menu options, and community engagement.
The newest Scott’s Chowder House is at 1325 Fillmore Street, between Eddy and Ellis Streets, in San Francisco.
