According to a recently submitted permit application, a new eatery, Safar by Karimi, is getting ready to debut in San Jose.

Coming to 19930 Stevens Creek Boulevard, the restaurant will land near establishments such as Horizon Bakery, Kabab & Curry’s, and Sweet Maple.

The concept’s owner, Mahamed Saiyed — who will operate the business alongside his two brothers — tells What Now San Francisco that he plans to open Safar by Karimi “as soon as the alcohol license application is approved.”

While the menu is currently being developed, Saiyed shares that locals can expect to find North Indian and Pakistani options such as garlic naan, butter chicken, and biryani. A cocktail menu will also be offered.

This will mark the family’s second restaurant in the city, with Karimi Restaurant at 1086 N First Street being the brothers’ first.

Stay tuned for updates.
