Señor Sisig, the Bay Area’s Filipino fusion spot, announced the opening of its fourth location on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Located at Thrive City, the community entertainment destination outside of Chase Center and the home of the Golden State Warriors, this new location holds special meaning for Señor Sisig and marks a significant milestone for the brand, aligning with their deep-rooted connection to the Bay Area community. The opening brings together the worlds of food, music, and sports, transforming the new location into more than just a restaurant, but a cultural hub for the community. Thrive City features some of the city’s best restaurants and destinations, with Señor Sisig one of a few new tastes coming to the area in 2025. The location arrives just in time to serve as a prime viewing and fueling spot for fans right outside of the arena where NBA All-Star Weekend will take place on February 14-16.
What started in 2010 as a food truck has evolved into a local institution, thanks to founders Evan Kidera and Chef Gil Payumo. KNown for their bold and flavorful Filipino tacos, burritos, nachos, and more, Señor Sisig has become a cornerstone of Bay Area food culture. Their signature dishes stand out with fillings such as savory Filipino Sweet Pork, perfectly cooked fried egg, and aromatic adobo garlic rice. The Thrive City location will honor that tradition while introducing exciting new features, including a dedicated DJ booth, a VIP section for private parties or reservations, and a welcoming atmosphere perfect for pregame or pre-concert gatherings.
Señor Sisig in Thrive City is designed with fans in mind, featuring multiple TVs to catch all the game day action, an open-air front facade that extends out to a patio with a view of the plaza and Chase Center screen, and kitchen equipment geared up for all kinds of future exclusive menu items that celebrate Bay Area pride. The location will provide the same sensational Filipino fusion menu and vegan options, but will also debut limited-time Crispy Sinigang Wings, created in collaboration with Bay Area music icon P-Lo. The 2,800 sq/ft location will also serve wine and beer, with the perfect mixture of local and commercial brews on tap.
“We couldn’t think of a better place to open our newest location than Thrive City, right in the heart of the action,” said Evan Kidera, co-founder of Señor Sisig in a statement. “As longtime Warriors fans and proud members of this community, we’re excited to bring our food and culture to an area that represents the energy of the Bay Area. We want to make all future limited-time offers a 10.”
The Thrive City location underscores Señor Sisig’s deep roots in the Bay Area, drawing inspiration from the community’s love for food, music, and sports. Señor Sisig has partnered with P-Lo since 2017, working on projects that bring together local legends and celebrate Bay Area culture. P-Lo’s collaboration with Golden State Entertainment on his upcoming album “For The Soil” features around 20 artists from the region, including Too $hort, E-40, and more. The album is set to release right before All-Star Weekend and was made to amplify the Bay’s influence on hip-hop, the deep ties to basketball culture, and P-Lo’s Filipino-American heritage.
“I think the Bay Area is so rich in culture with all different backgrounds, and with Señor Sisig being a Filipino fusion restaurant, it really represents the Bay to its full capacity,” says P-Lo. “I definitely feel that the Bay Area identifies with Señor Sisig. I’ve been working with them for over 8 years, and to be able to continue to work with them and also bring something new like the Sinigang Wings honors the Filipino background that we share. It’s dope not only to watch them grow but to bring them to Thrive City.”
