Slice House, a fast-casual restaurant chain founded by award-winning Bay Area pizzaiolo Tony Gemignani, is getting ready to open a new location in Millbrae at 357 El Camino Real.

The new location is expected to open in December 2025, according to Mercury News. The new Slice House will be franchised and operated by the Yuksel family, who also oversee Slice House restaurants in San Francisco’s Haight Street neighborhood and in Belmont. When the new Millbrae location opens, customers can expect a menu featuring craft pizza, fresh pastas, beer, wings, and salads, as well as catering and takeout options.

Founded by 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani, Slice House began in San Francisco’s North Beach and has expanded steadily across California and beyond. The brand blends artisan techniques with fast-casual service, offering multiple pizza styles, including New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit. Each location reflects Gemignani’s focus on authentic ingredients, including Type 00 flour, San Marzano tomatoes, and Grande mozzarella.

Gemignani is also the chef behind Tony’s Pizza Napoletana, Capo’s, and Giovanni’s Italian Specialties in San Francisco. Over his career, he has earned numerous accolades, including multiple world titles, television appearances, and recognition from publications such as USA Today and 50 Top Pizza USA. His restaurants are known for honoring traditional pizza-making methods while catering to modern tastes with vegan and gluten-free options.

The new Millbrae location joins a growing list of Bay Area Slice House locations in Mountain View, Belmont, Santa Clara, San Francisco, Castro Valley, San Leandro, Walnut Creek, and Rohnert Park. Additional California openings are planned in Livermore and Milpitas, as the brand continues its regional expansion.

“We are thrilled to bring Slice House to Millbrae and continue working with Tony to share his fast-casual, hand-crafted pizza concept with our community,” Welat Yuksel tells the Mercury News. “Conveniently located off El Camino Real, this new location is ideal for lunchtime bites, post-work slices, and community gatherings for friends and family.”
