Slice House by Tony Gemignani, a fast-casual pizza concept founded by 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani, is getting ready to open in Fremont at 43456 Boscell Road.
The company’s new location will move into the former Dog Haus space in the Pacific Commons Shopping Center and is expected to open in the coming months, according to a recent liquor license application. The Fremont location will be operated by Hersh Mahavni and Pritika Rajasanshi. Customers can expect Slice House’s signature menu, featuring New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit-style pizzas, served by the slice or as whole pies, along with fresh pastas, wings, salads, and vegetarian options.
What Now previously reported on these franchise owners, when they were preparing to open a Slice House on California Street in San Francisco. Mahavni and Rajasanshi both grew up in the Fremont area and have a long connection with Tony Gemignani; now they get to open a location in their hometown.
Founded in 2010 in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, Slice House has grown into a national brand with more than 135 locations across California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Texas, and Tennessee. In the Bay Area, existing locations include Belmont, Mountain View, Walnut Creek, San Leandro, Castro Valley, and Milpitas.
Slice House Fremont will feature the full range of pizzas, pastas, wings, salads, and beverages available at other locations. The menu at nearby locations also includes gluten-free and vegetarian options, as well as slices or whole pies, providing flexibility for both casual and larger groups.
This location will join Slice House’s upcoming Livermore opening on February 21, 2026, as well as future locations in Sacramento, Millbrae, and other markets. Located at 1948 1st Street in downtown Livermore, the new pizzeria expands Gemignani’s award-winning pizza styles in the Tri-Valley, offering a welcoming dining experience for locals. Opening-day events, which begin at 11 a.m., include a special appearance by Tony, a Slice House hat giveaway for the first 50 guests, and a raffle for a chance to win free pizza for one year.
“The East Bay is where it all started for me, so bringing Slice House to Livermore and expanding our footprint feels particularly special,” said Founder Tony Gemignani. “We’re grateful for our continued partnership with Ratika Tyagi and for her leadership in making this possible. I’m looking forward to sharing our craft and passion for quality pizza with the Livermore community so soon.”
