Spread Kitchen in Sonoma County is coming very soon! Look out for the new restaurant at 18375 Sonoma Highway, in the former Sonoma Eats which moved up the street to Barking Dog Roasters this month. Now, chef Cristina Topham of Spread Catering has taken over the space and is in the process of setting everything up for a mid-May opening

Topham tells What Now San Francisco that Spread Kitchen will initially offer counter service for lunch from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The restaurant will offer some of Topham’s best recipes for falafel, chicken shawarma, and other locally sourced dishes inspired by her Lebanese roots.

A professional chef for more than two decades, Topham began Spread Catering in 2016. Though the business had to scale back significantly during the pandemic, Topham was able to serve meal kits and drop-off catering, specializing in pita bars and grazing boards.

These will still be available, though Topham’s focus is now shifting towards Spread Kitchen. She wants her new restaurant to be a great community space where people can enjoy each other’s company while noshing on fantastic food.

Coffee service will eventually come into play, while beer and wine will be available from the start. From free wi-fi to board games, Spread Kitchen is sure to feel like a second home for many Sonoma Country locals.
