According to SF Eater, Square Pie Guys is planning to expand in the Bay Area. The business is preparing to debut two new locations in addition to the upcoming Campbell spot reported on by What Now San Francisco back in February.
What Now San Francisco reached out to the business owner, Marc Schechter, to learn more about his plans for the upcoming locations; however, he could not provide additional information before publication
For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, “Square Pie Guys was born from a shared passion for perfecting pizza and sharing it with their community. Two guys (Schechter and Danny Stoller) set out to introduce Detroit-style pizza to the Bay Area,” according to its website. After beginning as a pop-up in 2018, it opened its first brick-and-mortar location in San Francisco in 2019.
The statement continues, “Square Pie Guys’ dream found a home at 1077 Mission Street, San Francisco. Bolstered by a supportive community and well-justified hype, the journey from pop-up to a full-fledged restaurant became a reality.”
Today, the business operates three permanent locations in the Bay Area and 12 ghost kitchens. The offerings have remained consistent: Detroit-style pizzas, salads, wings, and lots of sauce options.
Addresses and opening dates have not been announced yet; however, the Journal reports that they are slated to open “in the upcoming months.” Follow What Now San Francisco on Facebook for updates to this story.
