According to a recently shared press release, the fried chicken chain Starbird is expanding in the Bay Area.

Upcoming spots include an outpost in South San Francisco (988 El Camino Real), one in Palo Alto (2515 El Camino Real), another in Pleasanton (6455 Owens Drive), and one in Cupertino (20800 Stevens Creek) — all slated to open before the end of the year.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, Starbird offers a brief introduction in the announcement: “Founded in 2016 by restaurant innovators at The Culinary Edge (TCE), the restaurant consultancy recognized that chicken consumption was on the rise and set out to reimagine fast food to meet the needs of a new America and their tastebuds.” Today, the brand operates over 12 outposts across California.

Its menu boasts salads, chicken tenders and nuggets, sandwiches, wings, and fries.

Exact opening dates have not been announced yet, so follow Starbird on Facebook for updates.
