Kansas City-style BBQ restaurant Stateline Road Smokehouse is coming soon to Napa. As first reported by San Francisco Chronicle, the BBQ joint will open in the Rail-Arts District at 872 Vallejo Street in a former auto body shop, “giving it a funky feel unlike any other BBQ space in Northern California.”
According to the Stateline Road Smokehouse website, guests can expect “a fun and lively environment” where they can “enjoy beer, wine, and music in a laid-back and trendy space.”
Co-owner Jeremy Threat shares with What Now San Francisco that he and his business partner, Darryl Bell, met when they were working together at Bouchon. He says that, when imagining Stateline Road Smokehouse, he and Bell wanted to open a restaurant for Napa locals — a warm and welcoming, community-focused social gathering place — that was “devoted to giving back.”
The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner and operate in a fast-casual model, where guests are greeted at the front and then encouraged to build their plates at the counter. Menu options will include smoked meats like burnt ends, brisket, and baby back ribs — served with Bell’s Stateline Roads BBQ sauce — and traditional BBQ sides like potato salad and mac and cheese.
Threat tells What Now San Francisco that an opening date has not been set and that their change of use application is still being processed, but he expects that the restaurant will be operational by June 2023.
