According to SFist, Oakland-based business Tacos El Ultimo Baile plans to debut a new location at Saluhall — the IKEA Food Hall located at 945 Market Street — where it will join tenants such as Casa Borinqueña, Curry Up Now, and Smish Smash.
The concept’s owner, Dominic Prado, offers What Now San Francisco a brief introduction to the concept: “I opened my first place in Oakland in 2022… Initially, we used the tagline ‘Street Style From Scratch.’ It’s pretty traditional Northern Mexican-style grilled meats, handmade flour tortillas.”
“We’re going to split the menu; there are going to be two menus for the week,” he responds when asked about the Tacos El Baile menu at the Saluhall outpost. “For four days we’re going to serve grilled meats… the other three days we’re going to dedicate that time to birria, carnitas — different types of stews.”
For readers who are unfamiliar with Saluhall, the venue introduces itself as “a vibrant food hall with top Bay Area chefs, an in-house bakery, burger bar, soft serve, and full-service bars” on its website.
Tacos El Baile at Saluhall is slated to open, “Hopefully, by the end of this month,” shares Prado. Stay tuned for updates.
