Temescal Brewing, an Oakland-based taproom known as a “casual gathering spot for housemade brews and popcorn,” is planning a new location.

According to Brendan Walsh of Lockehouse, in addition to their existing taproom at 4115 Telegraph Avenue, Temescal is bringing a brewhouse to 2410 Valdez Street — where it will neighbor establishments like Mua, The Lumpia Company, and Two Pitchers Brewing Company.

What Now San Francisco briefly spoke to the business’ founder, Sam Gilbert, but he was unable to provide additional information at this time. When more information is gathered, the article will be updated.

In the meantime, it’s safe to assume that Temescal intends to continue offering their “crisp, refreshing” pilsners, “juicy, hazy” IPAs, lagers, and witbiers — as well as their more innovative blends, like TeMezcal, made with their brew Smoked Gose, grapefruit, and agave.

Since opening in 2016, Temescal on Telegraph’s “softer, lighter, thoughtful” approach has made the establishment a popular Oakland destination. It is open every afternoon, and daily rotating food trucks provide food options, with indoor and outdoor seating available.
