Restaurateurs and chefs Laura and Sayat Ozyilmaz are bringing a new Mediterranean restaurant to the Presidio. While the concept has yet to be named, according to San Francisco Chronicle, it will occupy the space previously belonging to Commissary at Building 101.

A press release from the Presidio Trust shares that the menu will offer “California ingredients inspired by the natural surroundings” and that the eatery will be open for brunch, lunch, and dinner. The couple shares with the Chronicle, “We want this to be a Tuesday night dinner kind of place and also a place where you can celebrate a special occasion.”

For readers who are unfamiliar, the couple is known in the Bay Area for their previous positions as Co-Executive Chefs at Noosh and by their popular pop-up, Istanbul Modern. They also have experience in the kitchens of Mourad and Saison.

Their restaurant is just one of the multiple dining options upcoming at the Presidio. According to recent reportage, Eduardo Rallo, the founder of Brainstorm Ventures, is debuting concepts in the former Arguello space at 50 Moraga Avenue and at Building 215, as part of the Tunnel Tops development.

The concept is predicted to open sometime this summer.
