The owner behind eateries Ettan and Copra, Ayesha Thapar, is debuting a new concept at the Middle Plaza development in Menlo Park. The restaurant will be called Eylan, and, according to a recent press release, will exist as an “encore” to Ettan.

As with Ettan, an “elegant, expansive venue that serves Cal-Indian fare and craft cocktails” in Palo Alto, and Copra — a San Francisco-based “homage to the historic and cultural ties between the food of Southern India and Northwestern Sri Lanka” — Chef Srijith Gopinathan will be involved in developing the concept.

While additional dining options coming to Stanford’s Middle Plaza have not yet been announced, Eylan will join high-end retail tenants such as Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry, Bulgari, and Roger Dubuis.

Eylan in Menlo Park is slated to open later this year.
