THub Cafe, a family-owned cafe known for handcrafted boba, coffee, and freshly made pastries, is preparing to open a new location in Berkeley at 2284-2286 Shattuck Avenue.

The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Western Pacific, according to a recent liquor license application. While an exact opening date has not been announced, the new cafe will offer THub’s signature drinks and menu items, including boba tea, coffee, biryani, snacks, and pastries. Customers can also expect a welcoming environment and convenient ordering through THub’s website or mobile app.

THub Cafe first opened in Mountain House in February 2022 and has quickly built a reputation for high-quality drinks and made-from-scratch food. The Mountain House location emphasizes a community-focused experience, blending traditional flavors with modern beverage offerings. This expansion represents the brand’s first step outside its founding city. The Berkeley location will be located in a central spot on Shattuck Avenue, a significant corridor known for its pedestrian traffic and mix of retail and dining options.

THub Cafe’s move into this space provides a strong opportunity to connect with the city’s diverse student and local population. The new location will continue the family-owned approach, ensuring the same attention to detail and quality found at the original cafe.

Menu highlights include a range of boba teas, such as classic milk teas, taro, and Thai milk tea, as well as signature drinks like Oreo and Biscoff lattes. Food offerings include boneless chicken and paneer vegetable biryani, chicken popcorn, samosas, sandwiches, and house-made pastries. Catering options are also available for larger events. The owners emphasize quality and community as core principles.

THub Cafe crafts every item on-site and encourages customers to order ahead through its app, where they can earn rewards with each purchase. This will be an excellent landing space for THub Cafe, allowing the brand to expand its reach while maintaining the personalized service and community-focused experience that has defined its first location.
