According to a recently signed lease, the Truckee-based coffee shop concept Coffeebar plans to debut a new location in Los Altos.

Coming to State Street Market at 170 State Street, the eatery will land near establishments such as the Mexican restaurant Casa Lupe, the bakery Manresa Bread, and the Japanese restaurant Sumika.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the business’s controller, Bonnie Beardsley, to inquire about the expansion, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the company offers a brief introduction on its website, sharing, “It’s been a decade since Coffeebar first opened its doors as a bootstrapped, wing-and-a-prayer back alley cafe in Truckee, California. Since then, we’ve grown into a restaurant group with [nine] locations that span the Sierra to the Bay.”

The concept was founded by Greg Buchheister, who, “In 1998, while skiing and working in an Italian restaurant… created his own opportunities by importing coffee from Italy, first as wholesale and then by opening cafés. In two decades, he had opened twenty coffee concepts in Colorado, California, and Nevada,” the website states.

An opening date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
