A gourmet burger concept called Vine Burgers is taking over the former ABC Chinese Restaurant at 3579 Industrial Drive in Santa Rosa, according to a recent beer and wine license application filed in state public records. Owner James Byus confirms that Vine Burgers is scheduled to open by the end of January.
With over 20 years of restaurant industry experience under his belt, Byus proudly tells What Now San Francisco that he is finally doing his own thing. With the help of his wife, he is excited to debut Vine Burgers, selling gourmet burgers alongside an exciting selection of craft beers and wines.
Byus has partnered with local vendors to source high-quality meats and poultry including beef, chicken, lamb, salmon, tuna, and more. Byus already has delicious recipes lined up, which involve him grinding the meats in-house and using a special blend of spices.
A Maryland-native, Byus is most excited to serve Sonoma locals his own crab cake recipe which he praises as an authentic taste of the East Coast. His burgers will be served on toasted brioche or gluten-free buns, and he is also working on a menu of fun sides, salads, and veggie plates.
Having spent at least a decade of his career in the wine industry, Byus looks forward to having his customers try new things and explore other regional wines. Of course, Vine Burgers will have tried and true local Sonoma wines, but Byus encourages people to see what Spain, France, and the rest of the world have to offer.
There will also be craft beers if you’re not much of a wine drinker. Vine Burgers is created with a fun, approachable atmosphere in mind. There, you’ll find great company, terrific beverages, and even better burgers. For more information, visit www.vineburgers.com and follow them on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
