Woods Beer & Wine Co. is opening a new taproom in San Francisco’s Cole Valley neighborhood, with Lovely’s as its kitchen partner.

Coming to 848 Cole Street, the eatery will take over a space formerly home to Reverie Cafe — which shuttered after 21 years of service last spring due to a rent increase — near establishments such as Beit Rima, Crepes on Cole, and Wooden Coffeehouse.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, locals can expect small-batch house beers on tap — including the label’s Retro pilsner, the Fuzz IPA, and an herbal ale — and natural wine by the glass and bottle.

To eat, the Cole Valley location will feature Oakland’s Lovely’s classic burgers and “Oklahoma-style fried onion burgers.”

“They’ll be a great fit. Nothing goes better with beer than a burger,” Jim Woods, the founder of Woods Beer & Wine Co., tells the journal.

The Cole Street spot will mark Woods’s seventh outpost — joining existing spots in Lower Haight, Mission, Outer Sunset, Russian Hill, Treasure Island, and an upcoming taproom in San Anselmo.

The Cole Valley outpost of Woods Beer & Wine Co. is predicted to open by early 2024.
