An unnamed project known as “Korean Superette” was found in recent zoning clearance permits for the City of Berkeley. It will be moving into 1539 Solano Ave. in the former Rivoli, which “went dark” last year due to unforeseen circumstances, according to Berkeleyside

Now, the 27-year-old Cal-Mediterranean restaurant will be replaced by a Korean Superette, which will feature a mini mart with prepared foods, in addition to beer and wine service. The 1,598 square-foot space is sure to undergo a complete transformation, while its current permitting stage suggests that it might not be ready for the public until 2022.

Representatives for the project confirmed that this new shop was indeed in the works, but were unable to discuss any further details at the time. What Now San Francisco will post updates as more information is obtained.
