According to a recently submitted permit application, San Jose’s beloved Tijuana-style taco truck, El Bombero 408, is planning to open at a brick-and-mortar spot.

Coming to 1611 Monterey Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as Casa Linda Hotel, The Appliance Hub, and The Park San Jose.

The concept’s owner, Facundo Segura Ceron, tells What Now San Francisco that he is currently in the permitting phase, and hoping to open as soon as all mandatory licensing has been received.

On the menu, locals can expect the same items they have come to know and love — tacos estilo Tijuana served with guacamole, chicharron fundido on handmade tortillas, and mulitas, as well as beverages such as agua frescas made using fresh fruit or a michelada.

Additionally, Segura Ceron plans to introduce a second, larger food truck.

El Bombero 408 on Monterey Road will be open before the end of June. Follow the concept on Instagram for additional updates.
