A Seattle Icon With Over a Hundred Years of History

Perched at the corner of Virginia Street and First Avenue, Virginia Inn has been a Seattle staple since 1903. In 1981, Patrice Demombynes and Jim Fotheringham took over, turning it into a friendly pub known for local art and Northwest microbrews.
In 2019, Seattle restaurant veterans Karl Sexton and Craig Perez became the new owners, continuing the Virginia Inn’s long tradition as a local favorite and historic Seattle spot.
With longtime staff now in charge, the century-old landmark enters a new era while continuing to welcome both locals and visitors.
