According to a recent permit filing, 8 At Ping Yang aims to debut in Capitol Hill at 1412 E Union Street.

“We are still unsure of our opening date. As of right now, we’re aiming for April, but we are still finalizing licensing and making sure we have all the documents needed before we open,” one of the brains behind the operation, Benjamin Evans, told What Now Seattle.

The permit filing was filed under Evans Yai Ya LLC for a spirits, beer, and wine rest lounge permission. Alongside Benjamin are Robert Evans, Steven Davis, and Thiraphan Suttabusya. Biz Profile states that the LLC is 8 months old.

8 At Ping Yang’s address was once home to OOLA Capitol Hill. OOLA originally opened in 2023, but then: “Three years after closing the doors to our original production facility at 14th and Union, we returned triumphantly to Capitol Hill (just up the block!) with a bottle shop, cocktail bar and restaurant aptly titled: OOLA Capitol Hill.” OOLA’s website states they are permanently closed.

Toast describes OOLA as “A craft cocktail bar, restaurant and bottle shop focusing on OOLA Distillery cocktail pairings and seasonal, local share plates created from the Pacific Northwest bounty.”
