A popular Mexican restaurant is expanding its footprint with plans to open a third location in Bothell.

Agave Cocina & Tequilas, owned by Federico Ramos, will be located at 18505 Bothell Way, according to business filings.

“A new space, the same Agave you know—opening soon,” the restaurant shared via social media.

The family-owned restaurant launched in 2009 and now operates locations in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood and Issaquah Heights.

The menu highlights contemporary Mexican cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients and hormone-free meats, eggs, rice and beans. Offerings include salads with protein options such as flat iron steak, grilled chicken, salmon, prawns and scallops, along with enchiladas, tacos, burritos, empanadas and fajitas. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available.

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board recently approved Agave for a liquor license.

A nod to its name, the bar will feature handcrafted tequila-based cocktails and one of the Northwest’s largest selections of sipping tequilas, the website reads.

Although the restaurant has not announced an official opening date, it replied to a commenter on Instagram Wednesday, stating it will open “sometime in the next month.”
