Entrepreneur and Co-Owner Chris Dasef confirmed Amor Wine & Tapas is coming to Downtown Tacoma located at 705 Pacific Ave.
“Sexy and chique fine dining,” Dasef described the new restaurant to What Now Seattle. “It will be a tour of the Mediterranean –– Spanish, French and Moroccan cuisine.” As the name describes, the primary food service will be served tapas style from Chef Enrique Vargas paired with wine. Amor Wine & Tapas is designed to be an experience, not just your typical dinner.
You’ll step onto super dark wood floors while listening to a curated playlist as you gaze around at large format prints on the wall, one being a gigantic print of the inside of a rose. The furniture will have mahogany bases and tops made with stainless steel. A chandelier will hang from the 16-foot ceiling as burgundy wine-colored curtains frame the windows.
Dasef, also his own General Contractor for the project, has run into some snags with certain permits along the way which paused the opening, but he projects that they will open “within the month” as things are beginning to finalize.
Amor Wine & Tapas will slowly expand as the months progress both with its capacity and services. The capacity is 48 to only include the inside, but will be closer to 70 as the front patio and back courtyard open in the warmer months. After polishing off their dinner service, they will roll out their brunch menu as well.
Very excited for the opening! When?
