According to a recent permit filing, Arepa Venezuelan Kitchen will expand to a second location in Bellevue at 4058 Factoria Square Mall SE #H2.
A representative of Arepa Venezuelan Kitchen did not immediately respond to What Now Seattle’s request for comment.
While an official opening date has not yet been confirmed, Arepa describes itself as aiming to provide its customers with a unique Venezuelan dining experience, according to its Facebook page.
Some popular Venezuelan dishes are arepa, described as a national dish, the arepa is a culinary creation made from ground maize dough or flour, which is then shaped into a flat, round patty and grilled, baked, or fried. The result is a versatile bread that can be stuffed with a variety of fillings, from cheese and shredded meat to beans and avocado.
Pabellón Criollo, another popular dish, is commonly described as a hearty and flavorful plate. Pabellón criollo consists of shredded beef, black beans, white rice, and fried plantains. Cachapa, on the other hand, is a sweet and savory dish that is made from fresh corn kernels blended into a batter, then cooked like a pancake. They are often filled with cheese, ham, or both, cachapas are a popular choice for breakfast or a midday snack.
Arepa’s menu hosts a variety of options such as an arepa section, desserts such as flan and tres leches cake, and a specials section.
The second location will be a part of The Marketplace at Factoria. The company website describes the marketplace as a shopping center destination for shopping, dining, entertainment, and more. The range of establishments is wide, holding space for Cold Stone Creamery, Nordstrom, Target, and more.
