The East Queen Anne area is set to welcome a new dining option with the upcoming opening of B&Z Family Mexican Restaurant, confirmed by its owner Armando Buenrrostro Lopez. Located at 2232 Queen Anne Ave N, the restaurant aims to open its doors to the public in June or early this summer, pending final permits and inspection requirements.
“We’re very excited to be opening soon! The restaurant will offer a menu featuring a mix of American and Mexican cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast options will include American staples such as French toast, omelets, and pancakes, while Mexican breakfast dishes like huevos rancheros and machaca will also be available. For lunch and dinner, patrons can enjoy Mexican specialties like chile relleno, alongside American options such as steaks and shrimp,” Lopez told What Now Seattle.
For those that are unfamiliar, huevos rancheros is a breakfast egg dish that follows the traditional large mid-morning meal style, while machaca is a dried meat that is usually spiced beef or pork, commonly used in Northern Mexican and Southwestern US cuisine. Chile Relleno, which originated from Puebla, Mexico, is a dish that consists of a green chile pepper stuffed with minced meat and coated with eggs, first described in 1858.
