A new pizzeria will deliver fresh slices of flavor to downtown Spokane this fall.
Barrelhouse Pizzeria, owned by Jennifer Hansen and Matthew Lazarus, is expected to open at 157 S. Howard St.
The pizzeria will specialize in brick-oven Neapolitan pizzas, artisan salads and savory sandwiches. Its pizza crusts and fresh breads are made in-house from scratch daily, and the restaurant will serve both lunch and dinner, according to the shop’s Facebook page.
“Industrial glow. Local dough. Barrelhouse is almost ready to serve you, Spokane,” a post read.
While an official opening date has not been announced, the pizza joint is planning to open in late October.
Barrelhouse Pizzeria will add to the growing list of pizza shops in downtown Spokane. The area already offers a variety of options, including Wooden City, known for its wood-fired pies; MOD Pizza, which lets customers customize their own creations; and Pizza Pipeline, popular for its creative toppings and casual atmosphere. The Flying Goat and Geno’s also draw crowds with their artisan and classic pizzas, giving residents and visitors plenty of choices for a slice.
What Now Seattle reached out to the Barrelhouse Pizzeria team, however, they have not yet responded. This article may be updated.
