Bellingham’s Estelle Has Filed For a Change of Ownership

Estelle won Esquire's 50 Best New Restaurants in America award in 2023.

According to a recent permit filing, Estelle has filed for a change of ownership in Bellingham at 1147 11th Street #101.

Estelle filed for the change of hands on February 20th. The new owner is listed as David Hammer of HMMR LLC, who was not available to provide additional information at the time of What Now Seattle’s request.

According to Estelle’s website, “Located in the Fairhaven neighborhood of Bellingham, Estelle serves creative cocktails and comfort food inspired by the seasons. No matter what you’re craving, Estelle’s menu has something for you. We are open 7 days a week for dinner.”

A 2023 article from the Bellingham Herald adds “Estelle, a New American-style bistro started by James Zamory, Aaron Saurer, Sean McDermott and Skip Williamson, the same ownership of Carnal and Accomplice, first opened in October 2022 and has quickly become well known in Bellingham’s Fairhaven neighborhood.”

“The bistro serves dishes such as steak frites, spicy Dungeness crab linguine, broiled king salmon, beef fat French fries and duck confit. The restaurant is also known for its craft cocktails and “comfort food inspired by the seasons,” according to the restaurant’s website.”
