According to a recent permit filing, Bodega on Broadway aims to debut soon in Everett at 1302 Broadway.
Brian Park, Byung Suk Park, and Hee Jung Park are behind Bodega on Broadway. They’re also behind Gaya Capital LLC, who filed for Bodega on Broadway’s liquor license.
Bodega on Broadway filed for multiple permissions, including a beer and wine rest permission. According to Coldwell Banker, the property “Was high volume convenience store ( before 30 years of 7-Eleven) with Excellent corner location in a high traffic area with great visibility.”
The property was built in 1968 and is stated to boast 12,196 square feet of space. The 7-Eleven that currently resided at the address is marked as closed as well, according to Yelp.
For those that are unfamiliar, a bodega is typically a small convenience store, often found in urban areas, particularly in cities like New York. The term could have come from the Spanish word for “storeroom” or “wine cellar” and traditionally refers to small, neighborhood grocery stores that provide essentials, snacks, beverages, and household items.
