Boujie Bar will be coming to the Midtown Square development located at 2301 E Union St Owner Donna Moodie confirms.
After 20 years of successfully running her restaurant, Marjorie, Moodie decided it was time for a change which brought her to begin the process for opening Boujie. “Change can be good,” Moodie told What Now Seattle. “I often use the term and like it.”
Moodie shadowed her mother in the kitchen as a child learning skills that would later in life inspire her to open a restaurant all her own. Marjorie, named after her mother, provides dishes with only the best quality ingredients that are locally sourced whenever possible, their website tells us — and they don’t skimp on the hospitality as they offer a friendly and warm dining experience inspired by its namesake.
Boujie being the new concept that it is has Moodie keeping tight-lipped on what’s to come. In an interview with Moodie, What Now Seattle did uncover that it will be a wine bar, however. She also told us that its too early to say how her two establishments will link if at all. And after asking if there was an expected opening timeframe, she relayed, “We are at the whim of contractors and permits.”
