The team behind Cantinetta is set to open Bar Cantinetta in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, following the closure of their Madison Valley location in 2023.
The bar has applied for a liquor license with the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis board, according to business filings.
The new spot at 555 15th Ave E. will mark the third Cantinetta location and the debut of the revamped Bar Cantinetta.
The restaurant’s larger outposts are in Bellevue and Wallingford. While it’s unclear if the Capitol Hill bar will follow the same hours, the larger locations operate Tuesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. until close and are closed on Mondays.
“We are an Italian restaurant based in Seattle, Washington specializing in Tuscan culinary tradirons, authentic hand-made pasta and seasonal organic ingredients from the Pacific Northwest,” the restaurant’s website reads.
Bar Cantinetta does not yet have an official opening date, though the website lists 2025.
What Now Seattle reached out to the Cantinetta team, however, they have not yet responded. This article may be updated.
