Curry Up Now is on the hunt for its next location to expand into the Seattle area, according to Akash Kapoor, one of the company’s founders.
“We’ve been looking for a good location for around five to seven years now, but haven’t seen anything that has caught our eye as of yet. We’re currently looking at inner Seattle, Bellevue, and around the university,” Kapoor told What Now Seattle, “Once we have a location locked in, we should be able to open within six to eight months.”
“I’m super excited to bring Curry Up Now to the Seattle area. I’ve spent a lot of time here, and it’s a beautiful place to be. We will be making sure the location stays local, with the atmosphere of the restaurant to the hiring process, and everything in between. We will also be adding our bar concept called Mortar and Pestle with Curry Up Now,” Akash also added.
In a recent press release sent to What Now Seattle from Dan Sweatt, the Marketing and Communications Manager for Fransmart, “the brand, which originated and continues to thrive in the culinary hotbed of the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, specializes in Indian Street Food Classics that were originally created for the brand’s popular food trucks.”
“The concept, which is known for its creative spin on traditional Indian cuisine, has been recognized in publications such as Zagat: ‘5 Hottest Fast-Casual Chains,’ EATER SF: ‘SF’s Best Indian Restaurants,’ 7×7: ‘100 Things To Eat Before You Die,’ QSR: ‘The 40/40 List,’ Fast Casual: ‘Top 100 Movers & Shakers,’ Nation’s Restaurant News: ‘2018 Breakout Brand,’ and International Council of Shopping Centers: ‘Hot Food & Beverage Chain,'” the press release also added.
Curry Up Now currently operates 20 brick-and-mortar locations, three food trucks, and several digital kitchen outposts nationwide, and has both corporate and franchised units in development across California, New Jersey, Colorado, Utah, Georgia, Texas, and Indiana.
