According to a recent article from the Seattle Eater, Death & Co will soon open its doors at 419 Occidental Avenue S.

“Opening in summer 2025, Death & Co will be housed within the ground floor of one of RailSpur’s three historic buildings, neighboring the highly anticipated Hotel Westland, and located alongside three newly-announced Sea Creatures restaurants, which are designed to enrich Pioneer Square’s diverse food and beverage scene upon opening,” a press release sent to What Now Seattle states.

“Death & Co will create a thoughtfully designed space – and menu – that honors the area’s rich history while offering a contemporary and inviting atmosphere, catering to both locals and visitors alike looking for a post-work cocktail, a date night destination, and all the toastworthy moments in between.”

“The bar, the staff of which will be comprised primarily of Seattlites, will create a memorable experience for every guest, and serve as a hub for RailSpur’s vibrant, inclusive community.”

“Death & Co is one of the most significant and influential bars to emerge from the current craft cocktail revival.  Since its opening in 2006, Death & Co has been a must-visit destination for serious drinks and cocktail enthusiasts, and the winner of several major industry awards, including America’s Best Cocktail Bar and World’s Best Cocktail Menu at the Tales of the Cocktail convention.”

“Boasting a supremely talented and creative bar staff, Death & Co is also the birthplace of some of the modern era’s most iconic drinks, such as the Oaxaca Old Fashioned, Naked and Famous, and the Conference. Death & Co: Modern Classic Cocktails, published in October of 2014, has quickly become the definitive guide to the contemporary cocktail movement.”
