Downtown Bellingham will welcome a Neapolitan pizza and craft cocktail bar early this summer.

Pendino, with the tagline “hang around awhile,” was founded by Corey Silversmith and will open at 1149 N. State St., according to business filings.

“For the past 8 years I’ve been lucky enough to be part of building community focused–hospitality driven food & beverage businesses here in Bellingham. It’s been an incredible chapter of my life, and now I’m excited to put that same energy into this new project called “Pendino,” Silversmith shared via Instagram.

Pendino aims to bring “electric energy” to the area with simple, homemade ingredients. Its pizzas feature slow-fermented dough topped with fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and a drizzle of olive and basil oil.

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board recently approved the restaurant for a liquor license.

The cocktails will follow the same approach as the food, highlighting fresh citrus flavors.

“We’re putting in the work to get this space ready for you to come enjoy this May! We’ve got an incredible founding team and we all can’t wait to serve you!,” the post continued.

Visit the Pendino website and follow along on Instagram for the latest updates.
