A new Mexican restaurant, Marina Azul Cocina and Cantina, is set to open at Port of Everett’s Waterfront Place in 2026.

The family-owned concept comes from the team behind Casa Azul Cocina and Cantina in Woodinville and Agave Cocina and Cantina in Issaquah.

Owner Julian Ramos, who has worked in the restaurant industry since 2002, will have his nephew Alejandro and son Esteban manage the new Everett location, according to a news release.

The Port of Everett Commission approved a 10-year lease for Suite 102, which includes 2,717 square feet of space with both indoor seating and an outdoor patio.

Marina Azul will feature a menu similar to the Eastside restaurants, with favorites such as fresh tacos, specialty margaritas and curated cocktails. Guests can dine with waterfront views or on a covered patio designed for year-round outdoor seating. The restaurant will also offer a variety of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

“If you want a great, traditional option–you are going to get it, and if you want top notch locally inspired dishes you will find those, too,” Ramos said in a statement. “We have something for everyone.”

The other outposts are also known for its lively brunch, lunch, dinner and happy hour, a tradition it plans to bring to Everett.

“We know Marina Azul Cocina & Cantina will be a great addition to Restaurant Row and Waterfront Place, having highly rated Mexican cuisine and a gorgeous setting; we are giving guests plenty of great options once they are on site. Our bar will feature a large selection of sipping Tequilas and specialty cocktails, with a world-class view,” Ramos said. “We also believe the Marina is a draw, a destination, the part of Everett to go for dining, entertainment, leisure time and of course we want to be a part of it.”

Marina Azul Cocina and Cantina plans to open early next year, though it has not announced an exact date.
