Fremont Brewing, a family-owned craft brewery founded in Seattle in 2009, is expanding its presence with the addition of a new location in Columbia City at 3803 S Edmunds St., according to recent permit filings.

“We’re excited to open our Urban Beer Garden in one of the most dynamic and tight-knit neighborhoods in Seattle. We’ve already begun to go business to business and introduce ourselves. As always, the Beer Garden will be community-focused, kid & pet friendly, and feature unique beers,” Matt Lincecum, the owner of Fremont Brewing, told What Now Seattle.

While the opening date has yet to be confirmed, the brewery was established out of a deep love for Seattle and its history, as well as a desire to prove that beer made with local ingredients – preferably organic – is not just a trend, but a vital part of beer’s history, according to the company website. Patrons will also have the option to indulge in sandwich options or grab a quick snack with complimentary pretzels to complement their beverage of choice.
