A donut shop is eyeing another spot in Gig Harbor.
Fusion Donut Cafe plans to open a third location in a 1,200-square-foot space at Lake Kathryn Village on Key Peninsula, property owner Bryce Zimmerman told The News Tribune.
This follows the opening of their second cafe this summer at Peninsula Shopping Center, just a few miles away. The original downtown Tacoma location operates as a cafe in the morning and a lounge in the evening.
The menu serves up a mix of sweet and savory treats, from apple, blueberry and lemon fritters to maple bars, old-fashioned glazed and premium dozen assortments. Savory croissant sandwiches and kolaches round out the selection, plus dog-friendly donuts.
The drinks offer a mix of coffee, energy and specialty beverages.Â
Hot options include white chocolate mocha, vanilla latte, cafe mocha, Americano and hot chocolate. Iced versions of the coffees are also available. Specialty iced drinks feature lotus-based flavors like pink strawberry, blue raspberry and white tamarindo mango, as well as Red Bull spritzers with dessert pear or pineapple.Â
Gig Harbor’s donut scene includes Milkvue, known for mochi-style and classic donuts, and Susanne’s Bakery, with pastries and baked donuts. Fusion Donut Cafe will add creative flavors to the mix.
Zimmerman told the outlet, depending on permitting, the donut shop could open within six months, targeting a Spring 2026 debut. For updates, visit the website and follow along on Instagram and Facebook.
