Seattle’s Coleman Dock terminal is set to welcome new tenants, including a Himalayan dumpling concept next year.

Kathmandu Momocha, owned by Suroj “Sam” Dangol and his wife Mandy, is set to open in spring 2026 on the upper-level exterior of the terminal behind the ticketing building, a spokesperson told What Now Seattle.

The dumpling spot launched in 2017 after the duo moved to Seattle from Nepal. Unable to find the flavors of home, they set out to bring their cuisine to the Seattle community. What began as pop-up ventures at local farmers markets and breweries quickly grew into a food truck and restaurant, according to the website.

The name comes from the Kathmandu Valley, the heart of Nepal’s history, art and culture, known for its vibrant colors and festivals. The second part, Momocha, also called ‘momos,’ refers to a popular dumpling in Nepal, Tibet and other regions across the Himalayan Mountains.

“Momos are made with a simple flour and water dough that is rolled into thin circles. A mixture of either ground meats, vegetables, tofu or paneer is used as filling. The dough is then pinched together in either in a round pocket or a half moon shape. Momocha are traditionally steamed to cook, but sometimes pan fried or deep fried,” the restaurant’s website reads.

The restaurant serves dumplings with a choice of mild, medium or hot sauces, using scratch-made wrappers flavored with turmeric, beetroot, purple potato or spinach.

Signature offerings include steamed momocha and Kothey momocha, which are half-steamed and half-pan-fried for a crispy, golden-brown finish. Gluten-free options feature rice flour-based wrappers filled with chicken or vegetables. The menu also includes soup, fried rice and handmade noodles.

The restaurant has not announced an official opening date; visit its website and follow along on Instagram and Facebook for updates.

What Now Seattle reached out to the Kathmandu Momocha team, however, they have not yet responded. This article may be updated.

More Food and Retail Arriving at Coleman Dock

Kathmandu Momocha is not the only tenant coming to the dock. Other new additions include a convenience store, Sodexo’s Puget Sound Traders; a coffee kiosk, Sodexo’s P.S. Perks Espresso and Coffee; a pretzel concept, Sodexo’s Knots Landing; and an unnamed smoothie shop, all located on the upper level of the entry building.

The convenience store and coffee kiosk are expected to debut in late 2025, while the other tenants are scheduled to open in spring 2026.
