Lowrider Cookie Company could soon bring its signature sweets to north Seattle.
The local cookie chain is preparing to open its fourth location, according to Eater Seattle. The company currently operates in the Central District, Burien and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, located in Concourse A across from Floret. The airport shop recently underwent a renovation.
Named after owner Emily Allport’s dachshunds, Smokey and Riley, Lowrider Cookie got its start selling at Seattle-area farmers markets and pop-ups before opening its first brick-and-mortar shop in 2019 in the Central District.
The business remains active in the community, with a recurring spot at the Renton Farmers Market through Sept. 10. Customers can find the stand at Piazza Park every Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m.
Lowrider also focuses on giving back, supporting organizations such as the YMCA, Mary’s Place, Burien Cares and local animal shelters.
“We believe we can make the biggest impact focusing on our immediate community, and if everyone did one small act of kindness in their community, our world would be a much better place,” the company said on its website.
Lowrider’s menu features six core flavors: brown butter triple chocolate chip, birthday cake, salted toffee pecan, cookies and cream, s’mores and lemon crinkle. A rotating monthly menu adds variety, and nationwide shipping is available for those outside the Seattle area.
Store hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The airport location is open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
