The international restaurant chain Lviv Croissants, known for its large filled croissants, has opened its second location in Washington State. The new restaurant is now welcoming guests in Westfield Southcenter.
The Lviv Croissants restaurant is located in Washington’s largest shopping mall, Westfield Southcenter. The opening was nearly a year in the making, with thoughtful coordination between the franchisee, corporate team, and shopping center management.
“Every dining concept at Westfield Southcenter is carefully evaluated by the mall board before approval, and Lviv Croissants was no exception”, says Oleh Kindzer, Director of Development for Lviv Croissants in the US in a statement. “The mall team reviewed our business model, production capacity, logistics reliability, and the menu, approved the design project, and monitored the quality of the work. We were impressed by their professional approach and learned a lot during the preparation process.”
The restaurant’s footprint, by American standards, is quite compact at 1,033 square feet. Most of the space is dedicated to the kitchen and service area, enabling efficient service to a high volume of guests. The main seating area is located in the spacious food court of the mall.
Lviv Croissants’ franchisees in Tukwila are two families originally from Lviv, Ukraine, who have been longtime fans of the brand and are well-acquainted with its concept. One of the families has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years and brings extensive experience in business, public service, and education, actively contributing to the local community. The other family has extensive experience in the restaurant and real estate industries and works between Ukraine and the US.
The menu at Westfield Southcenter is based on large, freshly baked croissants delivered from Lviv Croissants’ own production facility in Atlanta. Fillings are made from fresh ingredients sourced from top local and international suppliers. The menu features hearty options suitable for a full meal, smaller croissant sandwiches perfect for a snack, and sweet croissants often enjoyed as dessert. Additionally, Lviv Croissants offers a diverse selection of coffee, tea, lemonades, and other beverages.
Lviv Croissants entered the American market just over a year ago. The first location and the croissant production facility were established in the Atlanta Metro Area, GA. During this time, the team has fine-tuned most operational processes and is already demonstrating successful expansion in the US.
“One year of operating in Roswell has given us a clear understanding of how to operate in the US market, and we are ready to scale quickly and confidently,” says Oleh Kinzer. “In franchising, one of the key factors is having reliable and experienced partners, and that’s exactly the kind of partnership we’ve developed in Washington State. We see potential for hundreds of locations across the US, as our format and products appeal to a broad American and cross-national audience.”
Lviv Croissants has ambitious plans for 2026. The team is already working with partners to open new locations in California, Illinois, New Jersey, and other markets. A proven business model, demand, and clear strategy allow the brand to integrate organically into the local restaurant industry.
