A new authentic, old-world Italian restaurant is preparing to debut in Kelso later this fall.

Maddalena’s Italian Cafe, the latest concept from 842 Restaurant Group, is set to bring its flavors to Three Rivers Crossing at 351 Three Rivers Drive, Suite 1216.

The restaurant group, a locally owned hospitality company based in Cowlitz County, Washington, operates The Office 842, Triangle Tavern, Silver Star Sports Bar & Grill and now Maddalena’s Italian Cafe.

“We created Maddalena’s as a way to celebrate real Italian cooking—the kind that’s made by hand and shared with people you care about,” Brian Andrew, managing partner of 842 Restaurant Group, said in a statement “Our focus is simple: fresh ingredients, great service, and a place that feels good to be in.”

The eatery will serve dishes featuring Vodka Bucatini with Italian Sausage and Sunday Gravy Pappardelle.

“At Maddalena’s, we bring the comfort of Italian home cooking to a fast-casual setting. Our pastas are extruded daily, sauces simmered from scratch, and flavors rooted in tradition. Order at the counter, settle in, and let us bring warm plates of comfort straight to your table,” the cafe’s website read.

The cafe also emphasizes sustainability. Plates are made from pulp-based compostable materials, beverages are served in recyclable PET cups, and wine and cocktails come in durable poly stemless cups, according to the website.

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board recently approved a liquor license for Maddalena’s, business filings show.

Maddalena’s Italian Cafe will join the mall’s lineup with The Valuable Woman Cheesecakery, D & F Rolled Ice Cream and Bubble Tea, Colby’s Burger and Fries, Fiesta Bonita, Panera Bread, Asia Buffet and Red Lobster, according to the directory.

The cafe will officially open Nov. 15; updates are available on its website and on Facebook and Instagram.
